My Classes this Semester

Introduction to the Learner and Learning - Content focus is on understanding growth and development of the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical domains of school age youth and adolescents. Emphasis is on application of concepts and principles to the practice of culturally responsive, inclusive education in collaboration with families and communites through development of appropriate skill sets and dispositions.

Human Relations in a Multicultural Society - Students will be exposed to many aspects of human relations in a multicultural society. This course prepares students to critically examine the social and cultural foundations of inequality in the society and in public education. This main purpose of this course is the study and application of positive relationships in diverse communities in school and the larger community, through in-class explorations as well as service learning work in schools and the community.

Art History Survey I - Introduction to art history from prehistoric and ancient cultures through the Middle Ages. Includes representative examples and styles of art and architecture of Western (Europe and the Near East) and non-Western cultures (China, India, Japan, Southeast Asia, Africa, Mesoamerica, South America, North America, Australia).

Ancient Peoples - A general survey of the evolution of human society from the earliest times to the development of written languages. Topics include the evolution of tools, the agricultural revolution, and the origins of urban life.

I'm honestly pretty psyched about all of it.
